I read a lot of feedback online about how many people weren't happy with Dragon Trainer Lulu's face. So, I listened and tried to apply your feedback and make a younger looking Lulu.

Your welcome what would you charge to make one of my characters into a 3D model I've always wanted to see it done I'm working towards getting the software but I like your work and I'd be willing to pay you to do it as soon as I can

Oh sorry! I forgot. Regarding prices, it depends on the complexity of the model. A sculpt like this could range, at least $100 to a few hundred.

Unfortunately I don't have time for commissions right now because I'm currently working on my small game project outside of work. I'll be sure to post a journal entry when I'm ever open for commissions. :)

Hi, student 3D modeler/animator here. How do you go about retopo in 3ds Max? I use Maya but I think the same principles can apply to the software. The way we've been taught is to make our model "live" and create a new mesh on top of it with the create polygon tool and append polygon tool.

If you can get 3d coat, I would highly suggest it. It's much easier than the rest of those programs. :)

May I ask what your workflow is ?
Do u start out with a drawing to catch the character or do you just sit down and have the creative making directly in zbrush and then you retop it. Or do u model polygons by polygons?

We have a concept artist create the design, then I make a high poly sculpt, make it low poly by retopo, then texture it in 3d coat from there. :)

Everything is completed within the 4 weeks or less. After I make the low poly, it's rigged and animated. :)

From start to finish, a model takes anywhere between 2-4 weeks. And I've been doing 3d for about 3 years ^_^

Very good sculpt, i must ask do you use zbrush to texture and unwrap or do you do this in 3ds/maya? just wondering.

It's really great because you can texture directly on your models instead of just using the flats in photoshop. :)
